Quick Overview

The Okobo are traditional sandals belonging to the family of Getas, these traditional Japanese sandals. The Okobos are characterized by their large height. They allow Maiko and Geisha to preserve the lower part of their expensive kimonos. To lower their weight, they are recessed in the center. The front end is beveled to allow a march quite natural. Our partner who makes these clogs uses the wood of Paulownia, a sacred tree in Taiwan.

The Okobos consist of a large block of wood, 8 cm high, hollowed in the center for ease and underlined by a beautiful and colorful velvet thong. This very traditional in its characteristics is painted black and has a red thong.

These sandals imported from Japan meet all codes in real Okobos. A rubber sole completes the shoe to prevent premature wear of the wood, reduce noise and prevent slipping.
